Chip tuning optimises the control software of your engine (ECU – Engine Control Unit). Manufacturers programme vehicles conservatively for cost reasons, emission regulations and to cover different markets with one software version. This leaves unused potential in almost every combustion engine. We unlock this potential through an individual recalibration – precisely, safely and within the hardware limits of your engine.

This is one of the most frequently asked questions – and the honest answer is: it depends. Officially, manufacturers can refuse warranty claims if a modification has caused or contributed to the damage. In practice, however, the burden of proof lies with the manufacturer. We back up your original data before every modification – so the tuning can be reversed completely and without trace at any time.

Chip tuning itself is not prohibited in Austria. However, an increase in power may change the type approval of the vehicle. This means that a new approval or an entry in the vehicle registration document may be required. We'll advise you on what applies to your specific vehicle.

This depends heavily on the vehicle and engine. Turbocharged engines generally respond best and can achieve significant gains of 20–40%. Naturally aspirated engines react less dramatically, but improvements in throttle response and linearity are clearly noticeable. We always state realistic values – no fantasy figures.

Yes – when carried out by professionals. Our tuning files have been developed on the rolling road and are exclusively within the safe operating limits of the respective engine. We do not push components to their absolute limit, but optimise within a safe range. Quality instead of maximum numbers.

For most vehicles, reading, optimising and writing the software takes 1–3 hours. For vehicles that require a special approach or where live calibration on the dyno is needed, it may take longer. We'll give you a precise time estimate beforehand.

Yes. We back up your ECU's original data before every modification. On request, we can restore the original software at any time – for a small service fee. So you have no permanent commitment.

Prices depend on vehicle type, engine and chosen tuning stage. The easiest way is to use our configurator – there you'll immediately see the price for your specific vehicle. Currently all stages are discounted by 30%.
